Wannado Voodoo had recently joined us from Silver Stride Stables, after running a recently bad two-year-old season. This year though, the filly had began to shine, showing that she did have some speed, breaking her maiden at Green Horse Fields in her first start of the year, and grabbing a second in the Unicorn Horn Fillies Turf. She hadn’t started since and had taken time to mature properly, but now the filly was back, fighting, and ready to take to the turf with jockey, Beth Harvey on board. The fillies’ recent training had contributed well to her welfare, and her muscle at her shoulder and hindquarters was almost insane. She scrubbed up well for a filly of her age, and this time she was not going down without a fight.
Sara was a solid filly, standing at 15.3hh. Though she hadn’t yet made an impression on the track, she wasn’t to be under rated in her third start of the season, her first start since January of the start of the year. She hadn’t yet raced at The Wire, but with the most experience of the field, she was ready to take it all on. Age and maturity would play a part, but whether it would affect the results of the race was a different story. Jacey had invited Beth in to the office to discuss the race plans.
A knock on the door sprung Jacey Leigh’s attention. “Come in,” was the voice that alerted her. The door handle turned and Beth walked in, her blonde trimmed fringe falling over her forehead. Beth sat down and Jacey handed her the sheet with the entrants on it. A grin came across Beths’ face as she realised that all the entries were two-year-olds.
